Is online poker RIGGED? Why do these bad beats happen to you all the time?
In this video, Andreas discusses why online poker is NOT rigged and why some people may think it is. Using a variance calculator, we can see why tournament variance and losing coinflips for a very long time is just normal. When playing over a million hands online, bad beats will just happen. Most likely, you will run into a higher straight flush with your lower straight flush at some point in your career, whereas it's very unrealistic that it happens live. I've made at least 10 royal flushes online, whereas in livepoker I was lucky to make 1 royal flush so far.
